Authoritarian, right-wing populist and fascist tendencies are currently gaining strength all over the world. But how do different instantiations of authoritarianism relate to each other?
Join the discussion at the University of Amsterdam on October 18th, organized by the research project “Emergencies of Authoritarianism”, which includes CritUP members Zeynep Gambetti and Robin Celikates.
In the conversation, Debaditya Bhattacharya (New Delhi), Gisela Catanzaro (Buenos Aires), Zeynep Gambetti (Istanbul), Eva von Redecker (Berlin) and Daniel Loick (Amsterdam) will shed light on the global entanglements of authoritarianism, based on their specific local experiences and situated knowledge, and see how best to analyse, cricitise and effectively respond to the threats of authoritarianism.
